The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, describing the President’s economic reforms as transformative and urging Nigerians to support his administration for another term.

Okpebholo made the declaration when he received the leadership of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), which inaugurated its Edo State chapter as part of a nationwide mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.

The governor attributed ongoing infrastructure development in Edo State to support from the Federal Government, particularly increased revenue allocations that have strengthened the capacity of state governments to pay salaries and execute development projects.

According to him, the Tinubu administration’s reforms are strengthening Nigeria’s revenue base and creating opportunities for governments at all levels to meet their obligations to citizens.

Expressing confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, Okpebholo declared that there was no vacancy in Aso Rock ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

He also expressed optimism that the reforms would deliver further benefits to Nigerians as the administration progresses.

The Director-General of RTIFN, Ahmed Balla, said the inauguration of the Edo chapter formed part of the group’s broader campaign to mobilise support for Tinubu’s policies and re-election across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Balla spoke during the inauguration, held alongside the group’s South-South rally, empowerment programme and town hall meeting aimed at engaging residents on the administration’s policies and achievements.

Speaking after the inauguration, RTIFN’s Edo State Coordinator, Honourable Idiake Patrick Akhimien, said the group was prepared to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

Akhimien cited what he described as people-oriented policies and reforms introduced by the President, insisting that the group would work to secure wider public support for the administration.
