Senator Neda Imasuen has hailed former Super Eagles captain and coach, Augustine Eguavoen, for clinching a rare global honour after completing FIFA’s elite Technical Leadership Diploma, describing the achievement as a moment of immense pride for Edo South and Nigeria at large.
In a congratulatory message, the lawmaker applauded Eguavoen’s successful completion of the prestigious 20-month programme, which culminated in a convocation ceremony at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland. Eguavoen was among only 32 Technical Directors selected worldwide for the highly competitive course and one of just two participants from the entire African continent.
Senator Imasuen praised the former national team handler as an illustrious son of Edo South whose career has been defined by excellence, discipline and a deep commitment to the development of football.
