Senator Imasuen Welcomes Edo South Pupils, Students Back to School, Urges Discipline, Commitment

Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Barrister Neda Imasuen, has welcomed pupils and students across the district back to school, urging them to embrace discipline, hard work and cooperation with their teachers as they resume for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Senator Imasuen, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Media Aide, Moshood Karim, and made available to journalists in Benin City congratulated the pupils and students on the commencement of another academic term and encouraged them to approach their studies with renewed determination and enthusiasm.

He urged the students to cooperate fully with their teachers and instructors, stressing that their willingness to listen, learn and follow proper guidance would enable them to derive maximum benefits from their education.

According to him, the ongoing efforts of the Edo State Government under Governor Monday Okpebholo’s SHINE Agenda for Education are aimed at creating a better learning environment and improving educational outcomes across the State.

He therefore encouraged pupils and students to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the government, while complementing these efforts through seriousness, discipline and commitment to their studies.

The Senator also warned against cultism, drug abuse, bullying, violence and other negative influences capable of derailing their education and destroying their future.

He urged them to make responsible choices, associate with positive-minded peers and remain focused on their academic and personal development.

Senator Imasuen further commended teachers across Edo South for their dedication and sacrifices in educating and mentoring the younger generation, urging them to continue to inspire and guide their students towards excellence.

He said: “Education remains one of the most powerful investments we can make in the future of our children and our society. I encourage our pupils and students to take their studies seriously, cooperate with their teachers and make the most of every opportunity available to them.

“Stay away from cultism, drug abuse and every behaviour that can bring shame to you, your families and your communities. Your future is too important to be sacrificed to negative influences.
