Edo State Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, on the dual occasion of his birthday and the 8th anniversary of his coronation.
In a statement released through his Special Assistant on Media, Godswill Inegbe, Senator Okpebholo celebrated the Oba’s significant contributions to the Benin Kingdom, particularly his efforts in the return of looted Benin artefacts, which have garnered national and international attention.

The Governor-elect reflected on the Oba’s invaluable wisdom and guidance, which he credited for helping him navigate the political landscape during the recent governorship campaigns. He expressed his gratitude for the Oba’s fatherly advice, which helped to diffuse tensions during a time of heightened political rivalry.
“Your extraordinary leadership qualities have truly transformed our community, and I cannot thank you enough for the support you’ve provided me personally,” Okpebholo remarked. “You are a deserving father to us all, and it is fitting that we celebrate you on this momentous occasion.”
