Tension has engulfed the Glad Tiding (GT) Extension area of Ekpoma in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State after suspected kidnappers invaded the community on Sunday night, killing a 300-level student of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, and abducting a woman.
The victim, whose identity had yet to be officially released at the time of filing this report, was reportedly shot dead during the attack, while the gunmen whisked away a woman to an unknown destination.
The deadly assault sparked fear and panic across the neighbourhood, forcing many residents to flee their homes over fears of another attack.
