It was a day of heartfelt celebration and reflection as the Ultimate TenderHelp Foundation commemorated its 25th anniversary with an event that gathered friends, supporters, and beneficiaries in Benin City.
This milestone marked a quarter-century of dedicated service to the underprivileged, empowering those in need, and uplifting children and families who live in extreme poverty.
For years, the Foundation has provided critical assistance, especially to orphans and vulnerable children, with partnerships across 200 schools and numerous communities to support education and welfare.
The event was graced by pupils and students from both primary and secondary schools within and outside Edo State, many of whom have been direct beneficiaries of the Foundation’s initiatives.
The atmosphere was charged with gratitude as stories of impact and transformation were shared, illustrating how the Foundation has become a beacon of hope for countless families.
Pastor Loveth Iyonawan, the Founder and President of Ultimate TenderHelp Foundation, shared the inspiration behind her life’s work.
“This Foundation is a divine assignment, a vision I received in December 1987, which came to life in 1999,” she said.
“God inspired this vision, and I am answerable to Him. Over the past 25 years, whether with my team or on my own, I’ve seen the urgent needs in communities—conditions of poverty and hardship created by social and economic factors.”
Pastor Iyonawan’s words echoed a deep compassion that drives her mission.
“If nobody dares to take a stand, to pause and hear the cries of those suffering, who will? Change is not something we simply wish for; it is something we make happen.” She emphasised that her dedication to this cause transcends affiliations and touches lives regardless of status, gender, or religious differences.
Reflecting on the challenges encountered, she acknowledged that meeting the vast needs of communities often outpaces available resources. “The demands always seem far greater than the supply,” she shared.
“Sometimes, when we reach out to government offices for permissions to support communities, we’re faced with delays and barriers. Financial constraints are another reality, yet we continue with faith and the grace of God.”
Several beneficiaries of the Foundation took the stage to share their experiences. Joy Igbinedion, who has been a facilitator with the Foundation since 2013, described her journey as a life-changing experience.
“Traveling to different communities and training people has not only empowered others but has also brought immense satisfaction and personal growth for me,” she expressed.
Another speaker, Reverend Anthony, recounted the impact of the Foundation’s “Lead Your Life” initiative, aimed at youth empowerment. He recalled a powerful conference held at Bethesda State University, Abraka, where students were motivated to pursue their dreams.
“Seeing the students realize their potential and purpose was incredible,” he noted. “To exist is merely to be counted, but to live is to make an impact. This conference truly underscored that difference.”
The day’s highlights included awards presented to distinguished partners, dedicated team members, and beneficiaries, celebrating their role in the Foundation’s mission.
As Ultimate TenderHelp Foundation looks ahead, Pastor Iyonawan pledged to continue expanding its reach, bringing hope to even more vulnerable lives and creating a legacy of compassion for future generations.
