Uzebu Community hails Governor Godwin Obaseki for intervening in Uzebu Community Crisis

…. Elders plead on Obaseki to Caution the activities of Comrade Osakpamwan Eriyo

Edo state governor, H.E Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki effort in bringing sanity to various communities in Edo state through the disbandment of Community development association (CDA) has once again been commended. The commendation was made by Chief Enikaro Edohen, the Edohen of Benin Kingdom at a well enlarged meeting of Uzebu Community elders and leaders at uzebu community ultramodern town hall.

Chief Edohen thank governor Obaseki for intervening in the crisis in uzebu community and also pleaded on Edo state government to call One comrade Osakpamwan Eriyo AKA Nomolest for allegedly destroying properties belonging innocent poor citizen in the community ” it’s started on the 28th of February 2021 when we started hearing Sporadic gun shots, property being destroyed around Oke Asoro axis of Uzebu, we swiftly come in because of our role in the kingdom and reported the issue to the Nigeria police to bring Osakpamwan to book, later we received a call from abuja that he have petitioned us, as a law abiding community, we all went there including our secretary Comrade Fidelis Owen Edehia. We wrote our statement and I voluntarily issued by statement. The police without investigating illegally detained our people for two weeks. We want to use this medium to thank our amiable governor Obaseki for coming in to save us and to also appeal to him to call comrade osakpamwan to order as we are not fighting him but only standing for justice and sanity in our community”

Reading the communique of the Elders and Leader of Uzebu, the PRO of the community Prince Eguavoen Ezomo thank Edo state government ably led by Gov. Godwin Obaseki for defeating the activities of land grabbers, CDA, and godfatherism in Edo state. He said the people of uzebu community will continue to support his administration because it’s people driven. He explained how the “Akowe” (Secretary) of uzebu Comrade Fidelis Owen and others were unlawfully detained in Abuja under the former inspector general of police.

“On the 28 february osakpamwan Eriyo unleashed mayhem in the community with the support of his machineries, shooting sporadically, destroying properties as such an act is anthema to the law of the land. The matter was reported to the Nigeria Police”

He further read how Mr Eriyo went to abuja to laid force allegations against the community which later resulted to unlawful detention of Comrade owen and others. He displayed pictures of the mayhems caused by the activities of osakpamwan Eriyo in uzebu community.

Comrade Fidelis Owen Edehia thank Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki for releasing them and other innocent uzebu youths from illegal detention. Present at the well attended uzebu community meeting are Chief Enikaro Edohen, the Edohen of Benin Kingdom, Pa Alfred Omorogieva Ogiefo, the odiowere of uzebu community, Comrade Fidelis Owen Edehia, Pa Eghaghe, Pa Samson Ezomoghene, Pa Ezogie omorere, Pa Felix Enable, Mr. Smart Ezomoghene amongst others
