Ward Congresses: Police rescue 9 abducted electoral officers in Edo

The police have rescued nine electoral officials of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ad-hoc delegate election in Edo State who were kidnapped in Jattu area, in Etsako West local government of the state.
The Edo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP, Chidi Nwabizor, who confirmed the rescued of the victims, said the rescue operation was carried out by the operatives of the Jattu division of the command.
Recall that the victims who were electoral officials for the PDP ad-hoc delegate election in Edo State were kidnapped on Saturday in Jattu area, in Etsako West Local Government Area of the State.
The victims were said to be on their way to Ekperi, Etsako Central Local Government Area of the State to supervise the congress when they were kidnapped at a gun point.
Chidi said the Divisional Police Officer of Jattu division on receiving the information, mobilized operative for bush combing to rescue the victims.
Chidi said “the police have rescued them. The DPO of Jattu confirmed that the victims have been successfully rescued”
