Former governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has advised Senator Dino Melaye to find a dignifying vocation for himself.
Ortom’s advice came after Melaye verbally attacked him during the North Central Zonal meeting held in Abuja on Thursday. In response to the verbal and social media attack, Ortom released a statement titled “Melaye: ‘A leopard won’t change its spots, time to graduate from thuggery,” in which he described the senator as a liability not only to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, but also to the good people of Kogi State.
Ortom highlighted his contributions to the PDP and the country, noting that his stance on justice and fairness informed his decision to ensure that power rotates to the southern part of the country in the 2023 general election. Senator Melaye has yet to respond to the statement.
