Former Senator representing Adamawa North, Elisha Abbo, has emerged as the Labour Party governorship candidate for Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abbo secured the party’s ticket after successfully scaling through the screening process conducted by the national leadership of the Labour Party at its headquarters in Abuja.

His emergence has positioned him as one of the major contenders in the race to occupy the Adamawa Government House in 2027, setting the stage for what is expected to be a fiercely contested election involving candidates from other leading political parties, including the APC and NDC.
