Fresh controversy has enveloped the ministry of Apostle Amos Isah following reports that a massive exodus of worshippers has hit the church after the preacher was allegedly re-arrested and returned to Kuje Prison over an ongoing assault case involving a 14-year-old female member.

According to reports circulating online, the cleric was re-arrested last week as authorities continue investigations into allegations that he assaulted the teenage girl. Sources familiar with the matter claimed evidence linked to the case has already been established, intensifying scrutiny around the embattled preacher.

Further details obtained by this online newspaper revealed that the latest development has reportedly thrown the church into turmoil, with claims that nearly 80 per cent of members have stopped attending services since news of the re-arrest broke.

In a dramatic twist, the cleric’s current wife, said to be his third wife, has allegedly stepped into a leadership role within the ministry amid the crisis. She was reportedly seen conducting deliverance sessions and overseeing church activities despite the growing controversy surrounding her husband.

The scandal has since triggered heated reactions across social media platforms, with Nigerians debating accountability in religious institutions, leadership ethics and the protection of minors within faith-based organisations.

Observers also recalled that Apostle Isah was widely known among followers for his energetic dance performances during church programmes before the allegations surfaced.

At the time of filing this report, legal proceedings in the matter were still ongoing, while authorities continued investigations into the allegations against the cleric.
