The Edo State Government has announced the nomination of Iriabekhai Kayode Jeffery as a commissioner-designate following approval by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The announcement was contained in a special government statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
According to the statement, Jeffery, an accounting professional, was described as a dedicated and result-oriented individual known for his commitment to organisational growth, excellence and effective service delivery.
The government stated that the commissioner-designate has consistently contributed positively towards achieving corporate goals and delivering impressive results in responsibilities assigned to him.
Further details obtained by this online newspaper revealed that his nomination will now be transmitted to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening, consideration and confirmation.
The development forms part of ongoing efforts by the Okpebholo administration to strengthen governance and expand its executive council in Edo State.
