The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released updated lists of its convention committee and subcommittees as part of preparations for its forthcoming national convention slated for Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the update was aimed at strengthening coordination and ensuring a smooth, transparent, and credible convention process.

According to the statement, the updated list signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo contains the names of individuals nominated to serve on the convention planning committee.

The National Convention Central Coordination Committee will be chaired by Senator Liyel Imoke, with Senator Aminu Tambuwal serving as deputy chairman.

The development comes amid ongoing leadership tensions within the party and a standoff with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which recently derecognised the David Mark-led ADC national leadership pending the outcome of court cases scheduled to coincide with the convention date.

Despite the legal and internal challenges, the ADC has reaffirmed its determination to proceed with its congresses and national convention as part of efforts to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
