Commissioner for Information Commends ACPN’s Contributions to Quality Healthcare Delivery

The Edo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Prince. Kassim Afegbua, has commended the leadership and members of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Edo State Chapter, for their commitment and contributions to effective healthcare delivery in the State.
Prince Afegbua gave the commendation while playing host a delegation of the Association, which paid a courtesy visit on his office in Benin City. At the engagement, he acknowledged the vital role community pharmacists play in promoting quality healthcare services, improving public health outcomes across the State, and emphasized the importance of collaboration, urging the Association to maintain engagement with his office whenever necessary.
The Commissioner, while assuring the delegation of his support, pledged to attend the Association’s upcoming Annual Summit scheduled for September, 2026.
Earlier, the ACPN’s President, Dr. Nwananuku Idemili, appreciated the Commissioner for his dedication and commitment to ensuring government policies and programmes reach the grassroots. The Committee Chairman, Dr. Maurice Molokwu, highlighted plans for the Association’s forthcoming two-day Annual Summit in September, explaining that the Summit would serve as a platform for community pharmacists across Edo State to interact, educate members, and give back to society.
Dr. Molokwu, expressed the Association’s desire to host the Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, alongside the Commissioner, at the Summit. Members of the delegation at the engagement included the Association’s Secretary, Pharm. Abu Dantoni John; the Liaison Officer 1, Pharm. Victory Egbeuor; and the Liaison Officer 2, Pharm. Simon Ekhoevbiye, among others.
