COVID-19 second wave: Edo taskforce takes sensitisation to Benin Central Mosque

The Edo State Taskforce on coronavirus (COVID-19) has urged the Muslim Community in the state to comply with necessary preventive measures against the spread of the second wave of the virus.

Addressing leaders of the Muslim community, the team leader, Mrs. Omokaro Felicia charged “leaders of faith-based communities to ensure that members of their community adhere to government’s guidelines on proper use of face masks,social distancing, proper hand washing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitisers.”

In his remarks, the Edo State Chairman of Council of Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Abdulazi Igbinidu, reassured that the council will intensify the enlightenment campaign against the spread of the infectious disease as it continues it outreach to mosques and other Muslim organizations across the state.
