The Presidency has replied critics comparing the swift rescue of relatives of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and the continued captivity of the abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Dada Olusegun, a presidential aide, noted that it is “totally wrong” to compare both incidents, adding that both scenarios involves different types of criminals, locations and operational challenges.

While, the Adelabu family case involved an urban gang of kidnappers who hid victims inside a flat within the community, the Ogbomoso case, on the other hand, involves terrorists operating deep inside the forest, making the rescue approach more complex.
