Super Eagles and Fulham forward Samuel Chukwueze has announced the funeral arrangements for his late mother, Prophetess (Dr.) Mrs. Serah Chinyere Chukwueze (née Onyegbule), who passed away at the age of 59.
The funeral rites for the late cleric and community figure will take place in Umuahia, Abia State, with family members, friends, church faithful, and well-wishers expected to gather in large numbers to honour her life and legacy.
According to the programme released by the family, the final rites will begin with a wake keep scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Ugba Primary School, Umuahia, by 9pm.
On Friday, May 29, 2026, the body will depart Madonna Mortuary, Umuahia, at 6:30am and proceed to her husband’s hometown in Oko-Item, Bende Local Government Area, for a brief stopover.
The procession will also move to Elohim Divine Miracle Assembly, Umuahia, for a church tribute service before proceeding to her maternal home at Amaeke Ibeku and later to her son’s residence in Isieke Ibeku for lying-in-state.
Further details obtained by this online newspaper revealed that the funeral service is scheduled to hold by 11am at the Isieke Primary/Secondary School Field in Umuahia, after which interment will take place by 1pm at her son’s residence in Isieke, Ibeku.
The late Prophetess Serah Chinyere Chukwueze was described by loved ones as a devoted servant of God, caring mother, and respected pillar in the community.
Her death has continued to attract sympathy messages from football fans, church members, and admirers of the Super Eagles star across the country.
