A Ghanaian prophet, Ebo Noah who recently sparked controversy by claiming that God planned to destroy the world with a flood has made a surprise public appearance — not in a church, but at a packed concert by award-winning rapper Sarkodie.
The prophet, who had earlier drawn widespread attention after likening an impending divine judgement to the biblical flood in the days of Noah, was spotted among concertgoers at the high-energy show, triggering a wave of reactions across social media and religious circles.
His appearance comes days after he claimed that the supposed destruction of the world had been postponed following his prayers. According to the cleric, God “changed His mind” after he begged for mercy and agreed to delay the catastrophe so that he could “build more arks” to save people.
The original prophecy had generated intense debate in Ghana and beyond, with critics accusing the prophet of fear-mongering and exploiting religious sentiment, while some followers defended him as a man acting on divine instruction.
Footage of the prophet at the Sarkodie concert quickly went viral, with many questioning the contrast between his apocalyptic warnings and his presence at a secular entertainment event. Others viewed the moment as symbolic of the blurred lines between religion, celebrity culture and public spectacle in contemporary society.
Neither Sarkodie nor his management team has commented on the incident.
