Edo Assembly member, Dr. Richard Edosa Engages Oredo Ward 7 Stakeholders, Reaffirms Commitment to People-Centred Representation

The Member representing Oredo West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Richard Edosa, has reaffirmed his commitment to responsive leadership and people-oriented governance following an interactive session with residents and business owners in Oredo Ward 7.

The engagement, held on July 8, 2026, brought together New Benin cotton sellers, electronic dealers and other stakeholders, providing a platform for constituents to engage directly with their lawmaker on issues affecting their businesses and communities.

During the meeting, participants highlighted pressing concerns including poor infrastructure, security challenges, improved market conditions and the need for greater economic empowerment.

Responding to the concerns, Hon. Edosa assured the gathering that their interests would remain at the centre of his legislative responsibilities, stressing that effective representation is built on constant consultation with the people.

He pledged to continue championing policies and developmental projects that would improve the socio-economic wellbeing of residents across Oredo West, adding that the voices of his constituents would continue to shape his legislative agenda.

The lawmaker also praised the leadership of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, describing his administration as purposeful and committed to delivering sustainable development across the state.

According to Hon. Edosa, Governor Okpebholo has demonstrated a strong commitment to good governance and remains supportive of initiatives that directly impact the lives of Edo people.

“The Governor has shown the way through his commitment to good governance and has remained supportive of initiatives that benefit our people. We will continue to align with that vision to attract more development to Oredo West,” he stated.

The stakeholders commended Hon. Edosa for maintaining close contact with his constituents and creating an avenue for direct engagement. They applauded his accessibility, responsive leadership and dedication to addressing their concerns.

They also reaffirmed their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration in Edo State and pledged to continue working with the lawmaker to advance the development of Oredo West Constituency.
