The member representing Oredo West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Richard Osaro Edosa, has strengthened support for grassroots agriculture by empowering members of the Federated Farmers Association (FADAMA) with resources to boost farming activities across Edo State.
The empowerment programme, aimed at improving agricultural productivity and enhancing the livelihoods of local farmers, also witnessed an emotional moment when one of the beneficiaries, Mr. Eghosa Ugbo, appealed to the lawmaker for a new wheelchair.
Without delay, Hon. Edosa fulfilled the request by presenting the assistive device to the physically challenged farmer, drawing commendation from beneficiaries and members of the association.
The gesture underscored the lawmaker’s commitment to responsive leadership and his readiness to address the immediate needs of constituents beyond legislative responsibilities.
Further details obtained by this online newspaper indicate that the intervention forms part of Hon. Edosa’s broader empowerment agenda targeted at supporting farmers, vulnerable residents and community development across Oredo West Constituency.
Hon. Edosa has earned recognition for championing people-oriented initiatives in education, healthcare, infrastructure and economic empowerment, with several interventions aimed at improving the welfare of residents and promoting sustainable development in Edo State.
