The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the commencement of its campaign rallies ahead of the July 2026 Local Government Election, with a series of political gatherings scheduled across the state’s three senatorial districts.
In a notice issued on Saturday by the State Publicity Secretary, Barr. Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie, the ruling party said the campaign train will kick off in Edo South Senatorial District on Tuesday, June 9, at Urhokpota Hall, Benin City.
The rally will then move to Edo Central Senatorial District on Thursday, June 11, in Uromi, before rounding off in Edo North Senatorial District on Saturday, June 13, at Ikelebe Stadium, Auchi.
The party called on stakeholders, leaders, candidates, members and supporters to mobilise massively for the rallies, describing the events as crucial to its preparations for the forthcoming council polls.
According to the APC, the participation and commitment of party faithful will play a vital role in securing victory at the local government election.
The rallies are expected to provide a platform for candidates to engage voters, showcase the party’s agenda and galvanise support ahead of the July polls.
