Edo North APC Thank You Visit: Governor-Elect Monday Okpebholo Promises Transformative Development

Iyamho- Edo State governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Saturday thanked the people of Edo North for their overwhelming support during the recent gubernatorial elections.

Speaking at the APC victory celebration held in Iyamho, the hometown of former governor Adams Oshiomhole, Okpebholo expressed his commitment to delivering dividends of democracy to the citizens of Edo State.

โ€œWe are here to say thank you for the overwhelming support you gave us in the just-concluded Edo gubernatorial poll. I assure you that under my leadership, Edo will witness prosperity. We are going to turn Edo State into a construction site, with significant developments spanning education, agriculture, and infrastructure,โ€ Okpebholo stated.

He stressed the importance of collaboration with local leaders to ensure that the incoming administration gets it right from the outset.


Okpebholo also took the opportunity to express his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for facilitating a peaceful election process. โ€œAfter our first hundred days in office, we will present our scorecard to you,โ€ he promised.

Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who currently represents the Edo North constituency, echoed Okpebholoโ€™s sentiments, assuring attendees that the new administration would prioritize the welfare of the people.

โ€œExpect good governance from the incoming administration. They will work to surpass what I achieved during my tenure as governor,โ€ he declared.

Oshiomhole also extended an olive branch to opposition parties, calling on Asue Ighodalo of the PDP and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party to collaborate with Okpebholo for the betterment of Edo State.
โ€œAfter all, I registered the Labour Party, so I urge the candidate of that party to join Sen. Monday Okpebholo for the good of Edo State,โ€ he concluded.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from APC State Acting Chairman Jarrett Tenebe, who expressed gratitude to party faithful for their attendance and encouraged continued support for the party.

The gathering was further enlivened by performances from popular local artist Ekpe Young.
