The Edo State House of Assembly Committee on Health has lauded the Etsako West Council Chairman, Hon. (Alhaji) Imonofi Inusa on his role in fighting the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic in the Local Government.
The House Committee gave this commendation on Thursday when its visited Etsako West Council to inspect the health facilities and personnel in the Local Government Area.
Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Pharm. Emma Okoduwa said they were on a fact finding visit to the local government as part of their oversight functions on health matters on Covid-19 pandemic, Lassa fever, other related ailments and the inspection of the available health facilities and health personnel.
The committee members lauded Etsako West Council on its efforts towards battling the deadly coronavirus, urging the local government to continue the fight against the pandemic.
The Council Chairman, Hon. (Alhaji) Imonofi Inusa, while receiving the team at the Council Secretariat, thanked the committee for the visit. He noted that the visit was a display of commitment of the lawmakers to perform their duties, joining them on inspection tour of the health facilities across the local government.
He further applauded Governor Godwin Obaseki administration on the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and mitigating the effects through intensive and responsive manner across Edo State, adding that Etsako West will not relent in its efforts to contain the disease.
