Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Neda Imasuen, has called on Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to uphold peace, unity, tolerance and love for one another as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message to the Muslim Ummah across Edo South and beyond, the lawmaker said the sacred celebration symbolises sacrifice, obedience, compassion and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah.
Senator Imasuen urged Nigerians to use the occasion to reflect on the values of generosity, peaceful coexistence and national development, irrespective of religious or political differences.
“Eid-el-Kabir is not only a season of celebration but also a time for reflection, generosity and renewed commitment to the progress of our communities,” he stated.
The senator further called on citizens to pray for the peace, stability and development of Edo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He commended Muslims in Edo South for their contributions to societal harmony and community development, describing their resilience, discipline and commitment as invaluable to nation-building.
Senator Imasuen also prayed for Allah’s blessings, peace, prosperity and abundant joy upon every home during the festive season.
“May Allah accept our prayers, sacrifices and acts of worship, and bless every home with peace, prosperity and abundant joy,” the statement added.
