On Tuesday, Hon Anamero Dekeri, the Member Representing Etsako Federal Constituency and a gubernatorial aspirant in the forthcoming Edo 2024 election, held his first Constituency briefing at his Constituency House in Auchi, Etsako west Local Government Area of Edo State.
The briefing was an opportunity for him to interact with his constituents and provide an update on his journey so far as well as his gubernatorial ambition. During the briefing, Hon Dekeri highlighted his achievements since assuming office at the green Chambers in Abuja. He informed his constituents that he had enrolled WAEC and NECO for them, which is a significant achievement as it would enable many students in his constituency to have access to quality education.
He also raised a motion in the green Chambers for a free WAEC and NECO enrolment of Nigeria students at the Senior Secondary Level, which was backed by his fellow house members, indicating his commitment to providing quality education for the youth in his constituency.
Hon Dekeri also talked about the ecological challenges in his constituency and his efforts to address them. He facilitated members of the National Ecology Agency to address the ecological solution in Etsako federal Constituency, with particular attention in Auchi and South Ibie.
Hon Dekeri highlighted some of the ongoing bills he is sponsoring, such as the creation of a Federal Medical Centre to be located at Uzairue and a College of Technical Education to be located at Okpella, his hometown.
On his gubernatorial ambition, Hon Dekeri promised to ensure that dividends of democracy would get to the people of Edo state. He informed his constituents that he has set up a committee to co-ordinate and work out modalities to ensure vulnerable students get registered for a free WAEC/NECO, demonstrating his commitment to providing quality education for all.
The event was well-attended by notable party faithful, including Honorable Gani Akhokia and Hon Ahmed Waziri, members representing Etsako west and Central at the Edo state House of Assembly.
