The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) took place on Wednesday, September 11, at the UBS Arena in New York, with rapper Megan Thee Stallion hosting the star-studded ceremony.

Eminem opened the night with an electrifying performance alongside Jelly Roll, setting the tone for a night of memorable performances from stars like Camila Cabello, GloRilla, and Lenny Kravitz.

Taylor Swift emerged as the biggest winner of the evening, sweeping seven awards.
Her collaboration with Post Malone on the hit song “Fortnight” earned her the coveted Video of the Year award, while also securing the Best Collaboration and Song of Summer titles. Swift’s impressive wins also included Artist of the Year and Best Pop.

Post Malone, who had 11 nominations going into the night, also had a stellar performance, securing five wins, including the prestigious Video of the Yearfor his work on “Fortnight” with Swift.

The night concluded with the VMAs Most Iconic Performance award going to Katy Perry for her 2013 hit performance of “Roar,” beating out legendary acts like Beyoncé, Eminem, and Madonna.
