Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Barrister Neda Imasuen, has felicitated former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Chief Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, on the occasion of his 69th birthday, describing him as an outstanding statesman whose legacy of public service continues to inspire generations.
Imasuen, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, said Chief Odubu’s unwavering commitment to good governance and democratic values has earned him a place among Edo State’s most respected political leaders.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, the senator reflected on Odubu’s distinguished political career, highlighting his contributions as a member of the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2007, his impactful tenure as Deputy Governor of Edo State from 2012 to 2016, and his leadership as Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
According to Imasuen, Chief Odubu deployed his vast experience and leadership capacity in advancing the development of Edo State and the nation, leaving behind an enduring record of service.
He noted that the former deputy governor’s dedication to the welfare of the people and the advancement of democracy remains a source of inspiration for emerging leaders.
