Veteran Nollywood actor, Zulu Adigwe, has passed away at the age of 66. The actor reportedly died on Tuesday evening, although the cause of his death is yet to be revealed.
The news of his demise was announced in an Instagram post by movie producer, Stanley Nwoko. Nwoko expressed his regret and condolences to the late actor, describing him as a “good actor” and a veteran of the industry.
He wrote: “I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, late Mr Zulu Adigwe.
“What caused his death is yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace good actor.”
Adigwe was a prominent figure in the Nigerian movie industry. He was famous for his roles in movies such as “Living in Bondage” and “Breaking Free,” among others.
His death comes as a big blow to the Nollywood community, which has already lost six actors in 2024. Among those who have passed away this year are Sisi Quadri, Mr. Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Andy Best, Jumoke Aderounmu, and Junior Pope.
Adigwe’s death has been mourned by fans and colleagues alike, who have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late actor. His contribution to the Nigerian movie industry will always be remembered, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations of actors to come.
