Abdullahi Sule has assured members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State that the party will conduct transparent and democratic primaries in line with the party’s constitution and the Electoral Act.
The governor stated that there would be no justification for any aggrieved aspirant to abandon the party after the primaries, insisting that only “bad losers” would choose to defect after a fair contest.
According to Governor Sule, the APC leadership is committed to ensuring credibility, fairness, and equal opportunity for all aspirants participating in the party’s internal elections ahead of the 2027 political season.
“Nobody whatsoever will have any excuse to leave the party because we are going to have a very transparent, very democratic process in line with the constitution of the party and the Electoral Act. So, anyone who leaves after losing is leaving because he does not know how to lose,” the governor said.
The statement is seen as a strong warning against post-primary defections and internal divisions, as political activities gradually gather momentum across the country.
