The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Ward 11, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, have given their unanimous endorsement to the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, to run for the 2024 Governorship Election.
The party faithful made this decision during a reception for Shaibu held at the ward meeting. The Chairman, Hon Igbafe Agbonoga, expressed the level of acceptability of the Deputy Governor among his people, party members, and the populace.
The enthusiastic reception by party leaders showed the Deputy Governor’s popularity and the PDP Governorship Primaries would be a referendum for him. According to the Ward Chairman, “we have agreed that Philip Shaibu must run for 2024 Governorship Election. We know he would make a huge difference if elected as the next Governor of our dear State. Our decision is based on the ideology of the Deputy Governor’s practicality in governance during his tenure as a member of Edo State House of Assembly and National Assembly respectively, which focused on paradigm shift in governance”.
The Ward members and leadership have considered the Deputy Governor’s antecedents and capacity, and have decided to endorse and support him to run and win the Edo 2024 Governorship Election.
According to Agbonoga, “It is our belief that the Deputy Governor is the most credible and qualified person for Edo 2024. As we prepare to elect a new Governor in a matter of months to come, we need not just any politician, but a man with the best interest of the State at heart, in addition to the necessary experience. We need the Deputy Governor to stir the ship of the State from the failed expectations and disappointments that have been our bane”.
The PDP members in Ward 11 of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State have endorsed and supported the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, to run and win the 2024 Governorship Election, based on his antecedents and capacity as well as his practicality in governance.
