Lagos police are investigating a bizarre and alarming case involving a prominent billionaire in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. The businessman is accused of hiding his lover’s used sanitary pad in his pocket during a visit to her Ikoyi residence.
Sources report that the billionaire had been in a relationship with the woman for over seven years, funding her luxury lifestyle, trips, and even buying her a home in Lagos. The strange incident reportedly occurred earlier this year while she was on her menstrual cycle. After he left, the woman noticed that a discarded pad from her bathroom bin had gone missing.
Suspecting foul play, she called him back and confronted him. Though he allegedly denied taking it, she reportedly searched his bag and found the pad hidden in one of his pockets. Terrified, she locked up her home and fled for safety.
The drama escalated when the businessman allegedly attempted to reclaim the property he had gifted her by forging ownership documents. The woman also claims that his associates broke into her apartment, stealing a Range Rover, a 2024 Lexus RX350, $50,000, N10 million in cash, and jewelry worth over £20,000.
Additionally, property documents originally issued in her name were reportedly fraudulently altered and re-registered under the businessman’s name through compromised officials.
Facing threats and intimidation, the woman has since fled abroad while pursuing legal action.
The Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Ikoyi is currently investigating, while the billionaire is said to have gone into hiding.
