The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has temporarily suspended Pastor Ayorinde Ade Bello and Deacon Oke Mayowa following allegations of inappropriate conduct with young male members of the church.
The allegations surfaced anonymously through messages sent to a popular blog, with individuals accusing the pastors of sexual misconduct.
In an official statement, National Overseer Pastor Sunday Akande stated: “This memo serves to inform you of the serious allegations against Pastor Ayorinde Ade Bello and Deacon Oke Mayowa.”
He further emphasised RCCG’s strict stance on moral conduct, noting, “The doctrine of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) does not allow or tolerate any act of homosexuality.”
RCCG leadership has initiated an investigation, expected to conclude within two weeks. Both pastors have been asked to fully cooperate with the inquiry, which aims to respect confidentiality while thoroughly examining the allegations.
