The Otaru of Auchi in Etsako West Local Government of Edo State, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, has banned the activities of strippers in the community.
This is coming after reports indicated that their activities capable of corrupting the minds of the youngsters in the community.
According to the monarch: “All those involved in obscene practices such as stripping (which is foreign to our culture and inimical to the decency of our people) are hereby given one week to stop such activities or face the wrath of Allah and the curses of our ancestors.”
While charging religious leaders in the community to take the message to their various congregation, he directed that operators of nightclubs, event centres are duely informed of the ban to avert possible closure of their businesses.
