Security: Zulum reassures continued support for Nigerian milita

…Praises resilience of Borno people
Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has reassured the Nigerian military of his continued support in their efforts to restore peace and security in the region.
Governor Zulum made the remarks on Wednesday while receiving the House of Representatives Committee on the Army during their visit to the Government House in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
The Governor noted that the state is gradually witnessing a return to peace and acknowledged the leadership of the President Tinubu led administration, as well as the efforts of the service chiefs, the theatre commander, and other military formations in the state.
Zulum also praised the resilience and commitment of the people of Borno State and called on the Nigerian Army to provide more support to the communities, to enable them to have more access to their farmlands and businesses.
The chairman of the committee, Honourable Abdullahi Muhammadu, commended Governor Zulum for his unflinching support to the military in the fight against the ongoing insurgency in the region. He informed the Governor that a national stakeholder conference will be held very soon to discuss the issues of insecurity in the country.
