Shun cultism, Rector warns as Auchi Polytechnic matriculates 9, 050 students

The Federal Polytechnic, Auchi on Wednesday matriculated 9, 050 students for the 2021/2022 academic session.


Of this figure, 5, 550 students were admitted to pursue the Nationa Diploma programme and 3, 500 for Higher National Diploma.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. Mustapha Zubair disclosed that the Polytechnic has continued to maintan high academic excellence and eminent position among its peers.

This according to him is seen in the latest Webometric ranking of Polytechnics in the country which places Auchi Polytechnic as the best Polytechnic in Nigeria.

He said the Institution’s management is taking every step to ensure that the Polytechnic remain top. He assured the matriculating students that facilities and infrastructure to ensure adequate learning have been provided.

On this note, he urged the students to face their academic pursuit with the seriousness it deserves and shun cult groups and unlawful societies.

“Avoid joining cult groups or societies. Cultism is of no benefit to you. The Students Affairs Division has a list of approved and beneficial societies or association you can join.

“Contact the Division before you join any society. Details of the School rules and regulation are contained in the Students Handbook of Information and the Prospectus which are currently in production. Both publications will be distributed to every student shortly.”
