The Editorial Team of Uptown Press Nigeria has congratulated the Chairman of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Festus Alenkhe, on his appointment as Acting Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service.
Alenkhe was recently appointed by Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, to head the state-owned radio and television broadcasting organisation, a development that has attracted commendation from media professionals and stakeholders within and beyond Edo State.
In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by the Founder of the Online media outlet, Comrade Moshood Karim, the media organisation described the appointment as well-deserved and a reflection of Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to excellence, competence and professionalism in public service.

The statement further commended Governor Okpebholo for entrusting the management of the state-owned media organisation to a seasoned media practitioner with a proven track record of service.
