The member representing Akoko Edo constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Peter Akpatason, has petitioned the rural development department of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Agency over the subpar road and drainage construction generating controversy in Igarra, Akoko Edo, Edo State.
His petition was in response to a video published by a resident of Igarra over the road and drainage construction.
Hon. Apkatason expressed embarrassment and dissatisfaction over the development and demanded an immediate investigation into the allegations, which may include an explanation from the Rural Development Department on the engagement terms of the mentioned contractor, Royal Jeff Nigeria Limited.
The department is to send a report of its findings on the engagement terms, Bills of Quantity, and other relevant details to the office of the Reps member, according to his petition.
