Nollywood legend Ramsey Nouah has opened up about his early years in the film industry and shared heartfelt reflections on his friendships with fellow icons Emeka Ike and Genevieve Nnaji.

The award-winning actor recalled how he and Emeka Ike began their journey to stardom together, forming a brotherly bond as they navigated the highs and lows of a fledgling Nollywood.

“Emeka will always be a friend and brother,” Nouah remarked. “We started life together on this road of fame, where destiny has kept us.”

Nouah described how the duo frequently found themselves acting alongside the ever-graceful Genevieve Nnaji, who he said stood out for her beauty, poise, and magnetic personality. “Genevieve was just so beautiful—beyond words. She has this peaceful aura and a spirit of love that leaves a lasting impression on anyone she meets,” he said, adding that she had a “Midas touch” that inspired admiration wherever she went.

The actor confessed that he once harbored feelings for Nnaji and considered pursuing a relationship with her. However, his loyalty to his friend Emeka Ike made him reconsider when he discovered that Emeka also had romantic intentions toward the actress.

“As men, we don’t fight over women; we support each other and let a brother win,” Nouah explained. “So I confronted Emeka to tell him I was on the same quest but that I’d step aside if he promised to treat her better than I could.”

According to Nouah, Emeka assured him of his intentions toward Genevieve, confident that she reciprocated his feelings even though she maintained a guarded demeanor. Nouah graciously chose to let his friend take the lead, even as rumors swirled in the media, with blogs like Linda Ikeji and GossipMill speculating about a supposed romance between him and Nnaji.

Despite their mutual admiration for Genevieve, neither actor ultimately ended up with her. Reflecting on this, Nouah said, “Love is a choice, and every adult has the right to make theirs. I wouldn’t judge the outcome.”
