The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the reopening of its nationwide electronic membership registration exercise as the party begins to strengthen its grassroots base ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In a press statement issued on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, the ruling party said the exercise would officially commence on Monday, August 31, 2026, across all wards in the country.
The APC called on stakeholders, supporters and members—both old and new—to participate actively in the exercise.
Existing members are expected to validate their membership, while prospective members have been encouraged to register and formally join what the party described as the progressive family.
According to the party, registrants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
The APC said the electronic registration exercise is aimed at digitising its membership register, improving the integrity of membership records and ensuring easier access to membership data for effective planning and management decisions.
The party added that the initiative would also promote internal democracy and reinforce its commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria.
“With this exercise, the APC is taking another strategic step towards building a more efficient, transparent and technologically driven political structure,” the statement indicated.
The nationwide registration is expected to serve as a major mobilisation drive as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
