ACCIOBA Launches Legacy Foundation Fund, reiterates commitment to members’ welfare

The Annunciation Catholic College, Irrua Old Boys Association (ACCIOBA), Benin branch on Sunday 10th December, 2023 held an End of the Year Dinner Party and Legacy Foundation Launch, which was a grand celebration of the alma mater and the association.
The event was organized to honor and appreciate the committed members who have been tirelessly contributing to the development of the school and the association, especially the Benin branch, since over fifty years of passing out of school.

The Chairman of ACCIOBA, Benin branch, Arc. Timmy Oigbochie Ikhisemojie, in his welcome address, expressed his gratitude towards the presence of the legal luminary and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Oldboy Ighodo Imadegbelo as the chairman of the occasion.

The event was made even more special as it marked the celebration of elder statesman, Prof. Bamidele Sanni, whose 80th birthday coincided with the event. His presence was a great source of inspiration for all the attendees as he shared his experiences and memories of the school and the association.
The Chairman of the occasion, Oldboy Ighodo Imadegbelo, also gave a stirring speech, highlighting the importance of the association and the role it plays in the development of the society.

Arc. Timmy Oigbochie Ikhisemojie pledged that the Benin branch will continue to promote the welfare of members, old and young, sustain the continuous existence of the Association, and expand on the developmental strides of the global body. The event was a huge success, with many attendees sharing their fond memories of the school and the association.
The chairman Organizing Committee of the event, Jude Aigbona told Uptown Press that, the event afford members the opportunities to have fun and bond together with their families and friends. He said: “This is the only time, we bring our wives, family members to join us at the end of year celebration party to enjoy ourselves and have fun, hence strengthening the brotherhood.”

The highlight of the event was the launch of the maiden Legacy Foundation Fund for the sustainable development of the Alma Mater. The fund will help in promoting the growth and development of the school, providing necessary resources and facilities to the students, and supporting the education of the less privileged in the society.
The launch was met with great enthusiasm and support from all the attendees, who pledged to contribute towards the fund and ensure its success.
Overall, the event was a great success, rekindling the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie among the attendees and strengthening the bond between the alma mater and the association.
