Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu has broken down in tears while recounting the difficult period of his life, revealing the emotional toll of his health challenges and the experience of feeling abandoned by friends.
The veteran entertainer opened up about his painful experience during a recent appearance on the Beer Parlour Talkshow, where he reflected on how his life changed dramatically following his battle with a brain ailment.
Agwu was once one of Nigeria’s most sought-after comedians, renowned for his energetic performances, comedy shows and unique blend of music and humour. His 2006 hit track, Handwork, further cemented his place in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
However, his career and personal life took a different turn in May 2015 when he reportedly suffered a seizure at home, marking the beginning of a difficult health battle.
He underwent successful brain surgery in May 2016 and survived the life-threatening ordeal, although the experience significantly altered the course of his life.
Recounting the difficult period during the talk show, Agwu became emotional as he reflected on the challenges he faced and the disappointment he experienced in his relationships with people he had considered friends.
The comedian also offered prayers against anyone he believed might have been responsible for his ordeal, expressing the depth of the pain he endured during that period.
