Sen. Adams Oshiomhole have emerged the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate unoppose for Edo-North Senatorial District ahead of the forth coming general election.

The party Returning Officer for the senatorial election, Mr Kassim Otono declared Oshiomhole winner and his returned unoppose as the APC candidate to contest for Edo North senate for second term.

Speaking to journalists Oshiomhole said renewing his mandate for second term is a big honour,
He thanked party member for voting him unopposed to contest the senatorial seat for second term.

“I want to thank all our party members and for whom much is given much is expected, and I promise to do more better.

“As a matter of fact this election I am unopposed. Am unopposed because the other contestant who file for nomination wrote that he had withdrawn. And I have a copy of the letter and I can show you. So, actually the correct word is that I am unopposed and that makes it more interesting. Because even the guy that wanted to contest said let Oshiomhole go that is a huge honour.

“Even when you have other people contesting in other parts of the country and having dispute on who to contest.
“And for me to have nobody challenging me in Edo North, for me that is an honour and I can’t thank the people of Edo North.

“But let me make a promise i will not do one per cent less and what I ask for is for God to give me more wisdom, favour, connection and influence to be able to bring more things to Afemai land.

“And to be part co-driver that will propel Nigeria to a greater height,” Oshiomhole said
