The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), alongside the party’s 2027 presidential hopeful, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has unveiled the book Farewell Poverty in Nigeria in Abuja.
The book was presented on Tuesday at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, as the party stepped up efforts to communicate its policy vision ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event centred on the SDP’s proposed approach to tackling poverty and promoting national development, with the party positioning poverty eradication as a major priority in its political agenda.
Adebayo, who is expected to fly the SDP’s presidential flag in the 2027 contest, joined national party leaders at the presentation of the book, which focuses on the challenges of poverty and the need for practical solutions to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
The unveiling comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with socio-economic issues, particularly poverty and national development, expected to dominate political campaigns.
The SDP said its vision is aimed at addressing the country’s development challenges and providing Nigerians with a clear policy direction ahead of the elections.
